Lisbon – Annabelle Chamberlain, 81, of Lisbon, passed away peacefully at 6:50am, Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness.
Mrs. Chamberlain was born February 21, 1931 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late George and Mary Mae (Bush) Smith, and had lived her entire life in the area.
She was a homemaker and member of the Lisbon Trinity Friends Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She had also attended the New Waterford Methodist Church in her younger years.
Annabelle loved spending time with her grandchildren, baking and cooking.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband, Edward B. Chamberlain, whom she married September 2, 1950; sons, Steve (Marilyn) Chamberlain of Salem and Jon (Pam) Chamberlain of Fort Worth, TX; sister, Phyllis Smith Selman of Toronto, OH; grandchildren, Chad, Seth (Sara), Zac, Ben, Kym; great grandchildren, Jacob, Jon, and Roger; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Annabelle was preceded in death by her daughter, Bonnie L. Chamberlain; grandson, Todd Slagle; and sisters, Ethel Chamberlain and Mildred Booth.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Lisbon Trinity Friends Church, 33937 State Route 30, Lisbon with Rev. Richard Jones of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4pm to 7pm, Tuesday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 10am until the time of service at the church.
