— Police responded to the 200 block of West Pershing at 9:51 p.m. for a report of drug paraphernalia. The complainant advised the person with drug paraphernalia was downstairs acting abnormal and needing medical attention. The person showed several signs of narcotics abuse and was transported to the hospital by an ambulance. Ryan M. Hoschar, lka 165 Chris Ave., C2, Washingtonville, was charged with disorderly conduct and drug abuse instruments and taken to the county jail.

— At 11:05 p.m. Friday, police spoke with a man on station who stopped because another motorist was following him. Contact was made with the occupants of the other vehicle. The driver said the complainant “brake checked” him, therefore he followed him. He was advised of his error and consequences and sent on his way.

— At 5:58 p.m. Friday, police responded to Centennial Park regarding a report of male getting out of a vehicle and walking around the area. A witness also observed the person who was wearing some sort of strange glasses with lights on them. The person didn’t appear to be causing a problem or doing anything wrong and got into a silver SUV with a female and was gone when police arrived.

— Police responded to the 1200 block of Cleveland Street at 3:37 p.m. Friday where the man, said his wife, who is separated from him and doesn’t reside there, still wanted their son. The man didn’t want her on the property. She was advised to leave and could be charged with criminal trespassing if she returned. She was upset but left.

— At 1:40 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 200 block of West Pershing Street where a woman said a female living with her had taken items from her bag. When the woman confronted her, she ran into the bathroom, jumped out the window and ran off. Police advised the complainant of the procedure to evict her.

— A woman was on station at 11:08 a.m. Friday regarding her daughter receiving sex-oriented photos sent by phone by another juvenile. Information was gathered and at 12:13 p.m. said she wished to file a report on it. The incident is under investigation.

— Police responded to the 900 block of East State Street at 11:14 a.m. Friday regarding a drive off and were unable to locate the vehicle.

— At 11:09 a.m. Friday, police responded to the 500 block of North Ellsworth Avenue to accompany a school resources officer while he spoke with the parent of a student.

— Police responded to the 200 block of West Pershing Street at 6:17 p.m. Saturday where the complainant advised there was a vehicle circling the area that stopped in front of her residence. Police located the vehicle and the driver said he was attempting to locate a friend.

— An out-of-state complainant was on station at 3:02 p.m. Saturday who advised of a domestic situation while at the community center in the 1000 block of North Ellsworth Avenue earlier in the day. The complainant was at the center with his wife and two sons, one an infant. The complainant’s mother and father, also from out-of-state, showed up. The complainant advised he doesn’t get along with his parents so they probably found out through a webpage where he would be coaching. The complainant’s mother reportedly approached his wife while he was coaching and requested to hold the infant. The wife didn’t want to make a scene and allowed her to after which the complainant’s mother began using foul language and calling the complainant’s wife a derogatory name. The complainant’s mother reportedly didn’t want to return the infant and pushed the complainant’s wife away. As the complainant’s wife reached for her child, the complainant’s father reportedly grabbed the complainant’s wife by her shirt near the shoulder and told her, “Don’t touch my wife.” The complainant responded and took custody of his infant and the mother reportedly continued on a tirade of foul language and vulgar names toward the complainant’s wife. A parent of another child attempted to intervene and help the complainant’s wife get away from the complainant’s mother and that parent also became the subject of more foul language and vulgar names. The complainant’s mother said she would file for a court-ordered grandparents rights order as they got away from her. The complainant wanted the incident documented due to the possibility of further problems.

— At 7:59 pm. Saturday, police responded to the 500 block of East Third Street for a domestic call. The male and female said it was verbal only. The male left for the evening.

— Police responded to the 200 block of West Pershing Street at 10:38 p.m. Saturday where the complainant said she was being harassed by an individual on social media. Police advised her to block the person and a report will be on file. Police will also attempt to make contact with the suspect.

— Police responded to the 600 block of Aetna Street at 1:52 a.m. Sunday for a suspicious person knocking on the complainant’s door. The subject, who was intoxicated, was located a few streets away and provided a courtesy ride to his residence.

— Police responded to the North Union and East Sixth Street area at 2:40 a.m. Sunday to assist the highway patrol with a traffic stop. The trooper advised a passenger kept exiting the vehicle during the investigation. Police stood by and later transported a male to a residence in the 1300 block of Highland Avenue due to the operator being arrested for OVI.

— At 3:59 a.m. Sunday, police responded to the 300 block of West Fifth Street for loud individuals and checked the surrounding streets and all was quiet.

— At 5:35 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 300 block of West Fifth Street for a dog at large. After locating it in the 400 block of Jennings Avenue, its owner was advised of the complaint. If it continues she will be cited.

— Police responded to the 900 block of East Third Street at 1:27 p.m. Saturday and located two male subjects trying to sell cheaper electricity costs. One was advised they needed a permit and he said he didn’t know that and left the area.

— Police responded to the 900 block of Park at 2:30 p.m. Saturday for a resident lock out. The fire department responded and the person was able to gain entry.

— At 3:38 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 300 block of East Third Street to check on a wanted female. Dispatch advised the person called police and said she was at a residence in the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue. Cheyanne Chestnut, 329 Newgarden Avenue., was taken into custody for failure to appear on a drug paraphernalia charge.

— At 4:15 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1200 block of Cedar Ridge Drive for a domestic call. There were no threats or violations and all parties were told to cease arguing. One person gathered what they needed and left.

— At 4:29 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 800 block of Summit for a dog at large. It was located in the 1200 block of Cedar Ridge Drive. The city humane office could not respond immediately but would later. The dog was an older Lab and not behaving in a threatening manner but it didn’t like the police uniform and wouldn’t allow the officer to check its dog tag.
