County Sheriff

— Robyn Lee Parrish, Woodsdale Road, reported at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday Gary Ramsey punched her in the eye. Deputies tried to locate Parrish and Ramsey, but did not locate anyone, although Ramsey did call dispatchers and claim he did not punch Parrish.

— Steve Yanni, Taylor Road, Middleton Township, reported at 4:42 p.m. Tuesday, Brianna Beaudoin was at his home violating the bond restrictions. Deputies spoke to a woman after Yanni put the call onto speaker phone, who claimed she was Beaudoin and said her daughter was not at the home yet and she was leaving the property right then. Yanni also told deputies Beaudoin also has been drinking, which is a violation of her probation.

— Stacy Heim, Depot Road, Center Township, reported at 11:49 a.m. Tuesday she and her husband, Sean, are going through a divorce and she has exclusive rights to the home by the most recent court order, but Sean Heim reportedly comes to the house and posts signs in the yard.

— William (Buck) Williams, Elk Avenue, Lisbon, reported at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday his son, Charles S. Williams, is serving a 30 years to life sentence for aggravated murder, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, theft and receiving stolen property. Williams said the son recently sent him a letter, which said if he was out of prison he would come and kill him. The father said he believes his son is upset he will not send him any more money.

–A Rosedale Avenue, Yellow Creek Township, couple reported at 1:56 p.m. Tuesday, their neighbor, Jason Frye, ran over the mailbox. However, neither of them saw Frye hit the mailbox, just believed he did it because he has been delivering wood to his home for a project.

Columbiana

— Ray Clayton of Ray’s Dyno Shop & Machine on Nulf Drive reported Monday a trailer was missing from the lot, and it was last seen on Saturday.

East Palestine

— Police were called to the Family Dollar at 9:22 p.m. Tuesday after Ashley R. Clark showed up, despite being banned from the premises. Clark was warned the next time she would be arrested for criminal trespassing.

— Motorists James T. Cozza, 62, of East Palestine, and Debra A. Blake, 42, of East Palestine, were both cited for failing to obey the traffic light after the vehicles they were driving collided at the intersection of West North and North Market at 10 a.m. Dec. 5.

— Police euthanized a deer that had been struck on North Market Street near Stacey Avenue at 6:30 a.m. Dec. 6.

— An attempt was made to kick in the door to the village administration building Dec. 6. Chief James Brown III believes, judging by the footprints, the culprits may have been several juveniles who took turns kicking the door.

— Scott Meyer reported Friday he believed someone was in the attic of the East Martin Street home where he was staying. Police found some towels and lights, but the space was so small they believed it may have been some children playing.

— Sonya Mattern, South Washington Street, reported Saturday a bicycle was stolen from her property.

— Richard Simons, East Main Street, reported Saturday a bicycle was stolen.

— Mindy Chamberlain, 44, of East Palestine, was cited for OVI and failure to control after striking a fence and utility pole while driving on Bacon Avenue at 11:47 p.m. Sunday.

— Bobbi Hedrick, West Martin Street, reported Monday being harassed by phone by Shawn Athey, who was told by police to cut off contact with Hedrick.

East Liverpool

— Officers responded at 6:08 p.m. Tuesday to the post office on Dresden Avenue for a man sleeping inside. They reported finding Graig Baker, no age or address listed, who had been removed from the building in the past week for sleeping inside. He was told not to come back into the post office or he would be charged with criminal trespass, and he left. At 9:24 p.m., officers were dispatched to an apartment complex at 689 Lincoln Avenue for an unknown male drinking in the hallway, where they again reported finding Baker who they said opened the door then closed it when he saw officers. When they opened the door, officers reported finding Baker holding an open can of beer with another opened can and two sealed cans on the steps. He did not live in the apartment building, and officers charged him with open container then told him to move along.

— Holly Ann Davis, Woodlawn Avenue, reported she is dog sitting and the dog escaped the house. A neighbor came to her house and complained about the dog using using his yard as a bathroom and she noticed he had a large knife in his hand as he said if it did it again, he would cut off its head. Officers went to the neighbor’s house but got no response, and a man across the street said no one was home.

— Cody Quimby, Wilbert Avenue, reported receiving threatening texts from a man he knows. Officers checked the area but did not locate the man.

— A single vehicle crash was reported on Lisbon Street where the vehicle was against the guardrail. Officers went to the Idaho Avenue residence of the vehicle’s owner but no one was there. The vehicle was towed by First Class Towing, which will hold it until the driver appears to be cited for failure to control.

— Officers responded to the Potters Club on West Sixth for a reported fight but people standing outside said there was no fight.

— Called to Wilbert Avenue for a 13-year-old daughter not listening, an officer told her father if he had been a parent the past 13 years, he wouldn’t be having this problem now. He was advised he is the parent, not the police department, and to stop letting her do whatever she wants. When the girl said she was going to go with friends, her father said she wasn’t, while her mother said she could go, and the officer pointed out they need to be on the same page where their daughter is concerned and that this is an issue they need to fix themselves.

— Officers were called to Ceramic Street for a 15-year-old assaulting and pulling a knife on his father. The parents said the boy became enraged when the father knocked on the door when he found it locked. The teenager began tearing up the house, upsetting furniture and punched his father, a cancer patient, several times before grabbing a knife and pointing at his father’s chest. His mother said she believes his behavior is due to not taking his medication. He was transported to the Tobin Center, with information forwarded to the Juvenile Court.

— Ashley Conrad, Blakely Street, reported allowing a man she knows to stay at her home because he is homeless. She awoke to find the man, a television, two Playstation sets and two games missing. She tried to contact him on Facebook but he had blocked her, she told police.

— Tammy Adkins, Green Lane, reported her purse stolen while she was in the shower. It contained her wallet and welfare papers.

— Sue Watkins, Woodlawn Avenue, requested police officers to tell a contractor she had hired to cut down a tree to stop because she thought was he was doing was unsafe due to it being dark outside. The police captain advised her this was not a police matter, but he reported being called a few minutes later by the mayor who ordered him to make the contractor stop cutting down the tree. The contractor advised the officer he could not stop the process as he already had a notch cut in the trunk of the tree, which was tied to his truck. He also said Watkins had told him she wasn’t going to pay him if he wasn’t finished with the job that night. It was agreed the tree had to be taken down and officers closed down Dresden Avenue until a call came in, then the service-safety director used his truck to block the street until the tree could be taken down.

East Palestine

— A Wednesday afternoon grease fire at an assisted living facility sent as kitchen worker to the hospital. Fire Chief Josh Brown said the small fire at the Christian House on East Taggart Street was out by the time his firefighters arrived. He said the kitchen worker was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman, but she was alert and able to walk.
