— Deputies were asked to check on Hugh Lasater’s grandchildren at 4:41 p.m. Tuesday. Lasater told deputies Sandra Messenger was supposed to meet him with the children in Stratton, but she did not show up. Deputies checked the home on Cunningham Road, but no one was there.
— Scott A. Jackson, 44, Butcher Road, Salem, was charged with assault and aggravated menacing on Friday after Jackson came to the family farm on Jersey Ridge Road, became belligerent toward his father and then struck his father two or three times in the head with his fist. Jackson reportedly also told his father if he went to the football game that night he would kill him.
— Moddie Neal Carte reported at 7:31 a.m. Aug. 29 his 2000 Chevrolet Blazer was stolen from his son’s house on Hartley Road. The vehicle was recovered by Alliance police on Aug. 30 with no damage done to the vehicle and with no keys inside.
— Kristey L. Armstrong, state Route 45, Center Township, reported at 4:21 a.m. Saturday she parked her Subaru in her driveway and it was last seen there at about 1:30 a.m. when she went outside to smoke. At around 4 a.m., the vehicle was missing.
— A student from Struthers was reported at Crestview High School at 11:37 p.m. Friday without a ride home. Arrangements were made and the student was turned over to his grandparents at the Sheetz in Canfield.
— A domestic dispute was reported at 6:27 p.m. Friday in a driveway on Lowmiller Road in West Township between Antonina Patricia Ranalli and Steven R. Daily. They both agreed it was only an argument and signed refusals to prosecute.
— A suspicious vehicle was reported on Macklin Road in Unity Township at 10:58 p.m. Saturday.
— A Lower Elkton Road, Elkrun Township, woman reported at 11:29 p.m. Friday her 15-year-old daughter took her vehicle earlier and she only has her permit.
— An ambulance was sent to Yellow Creek Church Road, Franklin Township, address at 9:10 p.m. Saturday for an unknown medical problem. North Star Ambulance was also enroute, but Shane McVay signed a refusal to be treated.
— The Veteran’s Crisis Line asked deputies to check on a person living on Wheathill Road in Unity Township at 10:09 p.m. Sunday. The person was with family members and doing fine.
— Florence Bobby at Breezeway Mobile Manor, state Route 558 in Salem Township, reported at 10:06 p.m. Sunday she wanted Samantha Crawford off her property. Crawford had left when deputies arrived.
— The manager of Deer Run Mobile Home Park, U.S. Route 62, Butler Township, reported at 7:01 p.m. Sunday there was a disturbance on lot 209. Deputies went to the home, but no one was there.
— Barbara J. McCord of Wooster reported at 5:30 p.m. Sunday she was at a Georgetown Road home in Knox Township when Sara E. Charleston of Alliance backed into her vehicle.
— Melinda Caine, Walnut Street, Rogers, reported at 3:45 p.m. Sunday her son, Michael Turner, broke out her driver side window on her vehicle.
— Heather Adams, Georgetown-Damascus Road, Knox Township, reported at 8:22 p.m. Sunday there was a blue or black Dodge pickup pulling into driveways. Adams said the pickup stopped at her driveway and she heard her outside water being turned on and off. The pickup then headed north on the road. Deputies checked the area, but did not find anyone.
— Sophie Grubb reported concern for a Beard Road man who she believed was cutting himself with a razor at 5:23 p.m. Monday. Deputies and EMTs spoke to the man, who said he got the scratches from the woods. He had scratches on both arms, which were only surface wounds and did not require medical attention. He told deputies he did not harm himself on purpose and did not want to go for medical attention.
— Kristie Jackson, Butcher Road, Salem Township, reported at 12:48 p.m. Sunday she found suspected marijuana in her home. She believes the marijuana belongs to her husband and also turned over three smoking devices she said belonged to her husband. All the items were destroyed by the sheriff’s office.
— A woman was reported slumped over in her seat at Campbell’s Grocery, state Route 45, Lisbon, at 5:59 p.m. Sunday. Employees had noticed the woman and the West Point Fire Department arrived, administering Narcan to the woman, identified as Heidi Roe. She told deputies she thought she had injected heroin, but did not know if something else was in it. She thought someone else she was with cleaned up the needle before fleeing. She was taken to ELCH. With Roe’s consent, deputies searched her vehicle finding only prescribed pills. The vehicle was towed.
— An alarm was reported going off at the back door of a home on Lisbon Road in Center Township at 11:04 a.m. Sunday. Ed Sabol told deputies his son triggered the alarm, which he thought was off and did not know the code to deactivate it.
— Zachary Peterson, Hillcrest Circle, Unity Township, reported at 10:44 p.m. Saturday Tim Peterson assaulted him. A warrant was issued for Tim Peterson.
— Dinah L. Sitler, 75, Village Court, Columbiana, was making a wide turn onto state Route 7 in Fairfield Township at 9:40 a.m. Aug. 27 to head south and went into the northbound lane as she turned and struck Abigail M. Crowe, 22, Carbon Hill Road, East Palestine, who was northbound on state Route 7. Sitler was cited for lanes of travel and Crowe’s passenger, Elizabeth M. Leake, 1, Carbon Hill Road, East Palestine, was taken to the Salem hospital with possible injuries.
— Ronald W. Lorenz, 44, Uhrichsville, was southbound on state Route 11 in Fairfield Township at 10:14 a.m. Monday in the right lane when a vehicle in front slowed quickly and Lorenz went off the right side into a guardrail. No citation was issued.
— Brennan Carr, 25, Georgetown Road, Homeworth, was eastbound on Georgetown Road in Knox Township at 8:01 a.m. Friday and another vehicle was westbound and they sideswiped one another. The other vehicle continued on.
— Stara Payne, 34, Bovey, Minn., was eastbound on state Route 172 in Knox Township at 12:17 a.m. Aug. 28 and went off the right side into an embankment and rolled over. She was cited for failure to control and taken to Aultman Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
— Charles Albert Hedl, 65, state Route 164, Leetonia, was eastbound on St. Jacob-Logtown Road in Salem Township at 8:45 a.m. Aug. 27 and struck Opal Ann Andric, 32, Rose Drive, Lisbon, while traveling through the state Route 45 intersection. He was cited for right of way.
— Police were called to a crash at the Circle K on North Main Street at 9:47 a.m. Tuesday for a report that a vehicle driven by Jennifer Dickey, South Avenue, struck a vehicle driven by Joan F. Kolat, North Main Street. No citations were issued due to being on private property.
— Charles Metzger, 56, Columbiana, was cited for driving under child support suspension following a traffic stop on state Route 14 at 6:33 p.m. Tuesday.
— Douglas Lewis, 62, East Palestine, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on state Route 14 at 2:06 p.m. Tuesday.
— Lee T. Knight, 22, of Salem, was charged with assaulting Joseph Long, 41, West Lincoln Way, after Long reported being jumped by a group of youths at his residence about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Knight reportedly tackled Long, causing a gash in in his head. Long also had a swollen eye.
