County Sheriff

— Sarah E. Bye, North Pleasant Drive, East Palestine, reported at 9:57 a.m. Friday her CSI garbage container was taken from her property.

— Rachel A. Benton, Wallace Street, Alliance, reported at 5:35 a.m. Wednesday sometime overnight someone entered her vehicle and stole some change.

— Michele Sanders, Wallace Street, Alliance, reported at 6:55 a.m. Wednesday someone entered her vehicle and took money.

— Patrick and Barbara Post reported at 12:12 p.m. Aug. 17, someone broke into Barbara’s father’s Taylor Road, Middleton Township, home. Several items were missing from the house.

East Liverpool

— An officer reported seeing two juveniles running on West Sixth Street at 2:12 a.m. Tuesday, one of whom ran away when he approached them. The other juvenile, 13, said she was walking to a friend’s house, he reported. The officer tried to make contact with the girl’s parents, to no avail, so he transported her to Wilbert Avenue and released her to her mother.

— A caller reported receiving a call from an unknown person, saying her daughter was overdosing in an apartment at Woodland Hills, Wilbert Avenue. Officers checked the apartment and an apartment where the woman’s daughter was last known to be, but they did not locate her.

— Destiny Stoffel, College Street, reported she confronted her boyfriend about another female and he got upset, punching out the driver’s side window of her vehicle. She was advised to see the law director if she wished to file charges.

— An officer was flagged down in regard to a man yelling at his girlfriend at a West Fourth Street residence, where he spoke to the man, identified in reports only as Rickie. Rickie told officers his girlfriend, identified only as Peggy, came home and they were arguing about him drinking. He wanted her removed from the home, telling the officer she does not pay any bills, nor is her name on the lease. Rickie was advised, as the officer reported he has been previously, that he would have to follow proper eviction proceedings. Peggy had left prior to the officer’s arrival.

Salem

— Police responded to the 400 block of South Union Avenue at 7:36 a.m. Thursday where the complainant advised the vehicle was egged overnight. There was no damage.

— At 8:38 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive for a well-being check and the person was transported to the hospital due to the circumstances.

— Police responded to the 100 block of Benton Road at 10 a.m. Thursday where the complainant advised obscenities had been written on their garage door.

— Police responded to the 200 block of Vine Ave at 10:19 a.m. Thursday where a man was going through a dumpster. He had a push cart and two dogs on leashes. He was advised of the complaint and to move on.

— At 1 p.m. Thursday, a person was on station and advised they purchased a gift card and when they got home and checked it there were no money on it. He provided proof of purchase.

— Police responded to the 900 block of East State Street at 4:29 p.m. where a motorist drove off without paying for $41 in gas without paying for it.
