Highway Patrol

— David A. Treharine, 38, Clarkson Road, Rogers, was cited for failure to yield after he struck the side of a van being driven by Jonathan M. Kerchofer, 23, North Market Street, Lisbon. The accident occurred at the intersection of Clarkson and Sprucevale roads in Middleton Township at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday,

— A car with a group of people from Youngstown went off the road and over an embankment into some bushes on state Route 7 in Fairfield Township at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday. Troopers spoke with passenger Nyeree J. Bunn, 17, of Youngstown, who said someone named Darion was driving but he fled the scene following the accident because there was an arrest warrant out for him. She said the accident occurred when Darion swerved to miss a deer. Bunn said they met Darion at a party in West Virginia and were returning from the party when the accident occurred. No citations were issued because troopers were unable to determine who was driving or the identity of Darion.

— Carol E. Kinseley, 74, Spillway Road, Lisbon, was cited for failure to yield after she pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Joshua E. Brooks, 26, Avondale Street, East Liverpool, resulting in an accident at the intersection of Salem Grange Road and state Route 45 in Salem Township at 11:28 a.m. Tuesday.

— Robert A. Betz, 56, Orchard Knoll Drive, Lisbon, was cited for failure to control after went off the road into a ditch while driving on state Route 172 in Center Township at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday. Betz said he became ill while driving.

— Tasia M. Bruzzo, 17, Franklin Avenue, Salem, was cited for failure to control after she went off the left side of the road on state Route 558 in Salem Township at 3:30 p.m. Monday. Passengers Seth Little, 17, West Wilson Street, Salem, and Abby Vanhorn, 18, New Garden Avenue, Salem, were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

— Alicia K. Connelly, 17, of Poland, and Brooke A. Murphy, 16, Tomahawk Drive, Negley, were driving in separate vehicles when both struck a fallen tree on state Route 7 in Fairfield Township at 12:20 a.m. Sunday. Connelly was taken to a local hospital with possible injuries.

— Dylan M. Ferrarro, 20, South Vine Street, Columbiana, struck a fallen tree while driving on state Route 558 at 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbiana

— Michael Warren, 43, of Steubenville, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on state Route 7 and Metz Road at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

East Palestine

— Police responded to a report of people arguing at 266-1/2 Park Ave. at 4:40 a.m. Monday, but the report contained no other details.

Lisbon

— A caller reported there was a van on Lions Club Road under the Canton Bridge at 11:26 a.m. Wednesday and the man inside was not moving. Police checked on the man and he was fine.

— Catholic Charities called at 12:39 p.m Wednesday to say Jay Farrow was there causing problems. Police spoke to Farrow, who agreed to leave.

— Kacie Parrish, East Washington Street, reportedly struck a parked vehicle belonging to Daniel B. Piper, state Route 7, New Waterford, in the East of Chicago parking lot at 4:41 p.m. Wednesday.

Salem

— A 600 block East Seventh Street resident reported at 12:04 p.m. Wednesday that someone had egged his and his father’s vehicles while they were parked outside their residence.

— An officer responded to an East Third Street home at 1:34 p.m. Wednesday where the resident reported she had been out walking in the 700 block of North Ellsworth Avenue and passed on the opposite side of the street a man she had evicted from her home walking his dog. She said the man told the dog to attack her, although the dog did not do anything to her.

— Christopher L. Matheny, 26, The Plains, Ohio, was cited for failure to control following a one-vehicle crash at Jennings Avenue and West Second Street at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday in which he was northbound on Jennings and attempted a right turn onto West Second, striking two street signs, a fire hydrant and a utility pole. No injuries were reported.

— John T. Hamilton, 30, Newgarden Avenue, Salem, was arrested at his home on an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday.

— Two Lisbon juveniles–17 and 16 years old–were charged with possession of marijuana and delinquency following a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Pershing Street at 8:12 p.m. Wednesday. They were turned over to their parents.

— Ryan Lee Bryer, 31, Lisbon, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated and marked lanes following a traffic stop at South Ellsworth and Franklin avenues at 8:16 p.m. Wednesday.

— Officers responded to a 500 block South Broadway Avenue business at 2:33 a.m. Thursday in reference to a disorderly man and found him to be intoxicated. The man said there had been an argument in the bar and that he had struck his head on a door. The complainant said he was also yelling and pounding on doors at the bar and requested he be removed from the business.
