— Kirk E. Susany, Canfield, reported at 8:51 a.m. Wednesday someone broke the lock on the driver’s door of his company truck, which was parked at Susany Builders Inc., state Route 14, New Waterford, overnight. Those responsible also broke the aluminum tool boxes attached to the bed of the truck and stole a large amount of equipment and tools.
— While patrolling eastbound on state Route 154 deputies saw a vehicle driving 65 mph in the 55 mph zone and stopped the vehicle near the former sewage treatment plant. Deputies could smell marijuana odor emanating from the vehicle and when asked about the odor, the driver, Aaren Thompkins, 20, Boardman, handed deputies a small baggie with suspected marijuana in it, which was in an ashtray on the dash. No other contraband was located. The marijuana was seized and destroyed. Thompkins was cited with speeding.
— Deputies checked the home of Larry Knight, Rauch Road, East Palestine, after an alarm was reported at 7:11 p.m. Tuesday. All the doors and windows were secure. A dog came to the patio door when deputies were checking it.
— Dale Davis, Leetonia Road, Leetonia, reported at 2 p.m. Tuesday he became friends with Dietta Gueye of Detroit, Mich., a few months ago and she came to stay with him in Ohio. However, they had a falling out last Thursday and Davis agreed to allow Gueye to drive back to Detroit in his 2015 KIA Optima, but she was to return it when Davis went to Detroit on Saturday at noon. She did not show up and is not answering phone or text messages at this time. Deputies attempted to call her at two numbers, leaving a message at one for her to call back.
— While checking incoming vehicles at the federal prison in Elkton, on Sept. 2, deputies found Latasha A. Moore of Dayton to be driving without a license. She called for a ride from Cleveland and the vehicle she was driving, which was owned by her brother, was towed.
— Richard Miller, South 14th Street, Sebring, reported the ignition key to his 2004 Audi A6 was taken from the console while parked at the Carter Farm on Westville Lake Road sometime overnight Tuesday.
— Tinker McArthur, 54, Columbus, was eastbound on Church Hill Road in Elkrun Township at 9:10 a.m. Saturday and went off the right side into a fence line. McArthur was cited for failure to control.
— Karen S. Delauder, 62, Spillway Road, Lisbon, was making a left turn off Spillway Road into state Route 172 in Hanover Township at 11:40 a.m. Saturday and struck Sharon J. Donnelly, 70, Spillway Road, Lisbon, who was turning left off state Route 172 onto Spillway Road. Delauder was cited for right of way.
— Otis C. Fulton, 67, Byesville, was northbound on state Route 644 in Franklin Township at 5:39 a.m. Monday and cargo from a southbound vehicle struck his vehicle.
— Darko Puselja, 45, Willoughby, and Robert E. Osborn, 67, Mick Road, Wellsville, were southbound on state Route 7 in Madison Township at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday and Osborn struck Puselja from behind. Puselja was cited for assured clear distance.
— James R. Dillon, 63, Kelch Road, Lisbon, was northwestbound on Lisbon Road in Salem Township at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday and failed to yield at a stop sign and struck Larry R. Tullis, 61, Jersey Ridge Road, Salem. Dillon was cited for failure to yield.
— A caller reported Mary Shaulis and Kevin Criss were having another domestic dispute at Shaulis’ home on Maple Street Extension at 9:42 p.m. Sept. 7, but no one was home when police arrived.
— Marsha Booth, North Jefferson Street, reported someone was knocking on her window at 10:24 p.m. Sept. 7. Police arrived and heard someone pounding nearby and found that a neighbor had been hanging pictures and that was likely the sound Booth heard.
— McKenzie Strub, West Washington Street, called at 11:39 p.m. Monday because she wanted her brother to leave for the night after arguing about his dog. Her brother agreed to leave for the night.
— Tracey Wonner reported as she was pulling onto Davner Road from state Route 517 she saw a man in his underwear standing in the middle of the road at 9:33 p.m. Tuesday. Police arrived to find a naked man identified as JR Davis, Bye Road, standing in the middle of Route 517. Davis, who was mostly incoherent, did say he had taken Ecstasy and was drinking. Davis was going to leave on foot, so he was handcuffed and placed in the cruiser until a sheriff’s deputy arrived to take custody since the incident was outside village limits.
— A Manor Drive woman reported at 10:31 a.m. Tuesday there was a sick raccoon in her yard. Police checked and found the animal was already deceased. The street crew disposed of the animal.
— Ryan Agostini, 35, Columbiana, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on West Park Avenue 6:54 p.m. Tuesday. The owner of the vehicle, Heather Chase, 35, Columbiana, was cited for wrongful entrustment.
— Shaun S. Edwards, 29, Darlington, Pa., was cited for driving without headlights and open container following a traffic stop on Alice Street at 10:19 pm. Friday.
— A Pine Street resident reported at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday that she believes a man she knows had stolen her debit card and spent $685 with it. The matter is under investigation.
