St. Paul scientists
Salem St. Paul School students, from left, sixth grader Andrew Beck, fifth grader Laura Hovorka and sixth grader Nathan Yakubek competed at the 71st annual State Science Day at Ohio State after earning superior scores at the regional science fair at Youngstown State in March. Their projects explain whether surface matters for dribbling a basketball, what makes the fizziest bath bomb and the science of tempering chocolate. At OSU, Beck and Hovorka earned superior ratings and Yakubek earned an excellent rating.
