LISBON — The Columbiana County Career and Technical Center competed in the regional SkillsUSA competition held at Ashtabula County Technical and Career Campus in Jefferson. Many students from the CCCTC then qualified for the state event to be held in Columbus in April.

Students placed in job interview, job skill demonstration-open, prepared speech, and promotional bulletin board in the leadership competitions. In career skill competitions, students placed in basic health care skills, health knowledge bowl, medical math, cnc technician, collision repair technology, esthetics and welding.

There were also additional students who placed at the local competition and will go straight to the state competition. Following is a list of regional winners who will be competing at the state event:

Beaver Local junior Mitchell Grady of the Health Academy took first place in Job Interview.

East Palestine senior Trent White from Precision Machining and Manufacturing took third place in Job Skill Demonstration- Open.

Southern Local junior Destiny Householder of the Health Academy took third place in Prepared Speech.

The junior cosmetology team of Jazmin Snyder of Beaver Local, Grace Sigley of Beaver Local, and Kenzie Bostian of United Local took third place in Promotional Bulletin Board

In the Basic Health Care Skills competition, Health Academy’s East Palestine senior Madison Fall took second place and Crestview senior Ashlee Steeves took third place.

The Health Academy team of senior Madisyn Duck of Wellsville, senior Harley Kirin of Columbiana, senior Kayla Grant of Columbiana, and junior Margot McHenry of Beaver Local took first place in Health Knowledge Bowl

Beaver Local junior Britney Shreve of the Health Academy took third place in Medical Math.

Lisbon David Anderson senior Kyle Claypool from Precision Machining and Manufacturing took third place in CNC Technician.

Crestview junior Jamin Pelley of Automotive Collision Repair, took third place in Collision Repair Technology

Southern Local Cosmetology senior Katelyn Beveridge, using Beaver Local senior Charli Colella as a model, took first place in Esthetics .

United Local senior Michael Yoskey from the Welding program took third place in Welding .
