Heritage Thermal Services president Christopher T. Pherson recently presented an iPad to Tammy Blackburn, director of The Way Station, 125 W. Fifth St., East Liverpool, to help the social services agency go paperless. The device will help The Way Station track the assistance it provides to an average of 150 families each month, and in accepting the donation, Blackburn said, “The Way Station now has the opportunity to utilize technology to make our food distribution, reduced-price clothing, diaper and emergency assistance programs more effective.” Blackburn, in her third year as director at the East Liverpool location, offered her appreciation for the local company’s donation.
