As part of Veterans Night Friday at the Hoppel Championship Rodeo, the family of East Palestine veteran Sgt. Matthew “Bob” Cresanto was presented with an American flag. Bob Cresanto was both a military and rodeo veteran who died recently. Friday night’s rodeo was dedicated to his memory. Marine veterans, Erika Zahrndt and Chris McCartney of Lisbon conducted the flag ceremony and presented the Cresanto family with the flag. Representatives from Mission 22, a non-profit organization dedicated to the war against veteran suicide, was on hand to help inform veterans and their families about the issue.
