Fallen tree causes power outage
WELLSVILLE — A fallen tree caused a power outage throughout the village Tuesday night, with power expected to be restored by midnight. According to a spokesman at the fire department, the tree fell on Zacharias Road near state Route 45, causing power to go out from 17th Street north to the end of town. The outage occurred just after the village council meeting ended, he reported, which would have been about 8 p.m. AEP Ohio advised the power should be restored about 12 a.m., with 692 customers affected.
