St. Clair FOP to fill a cruiser

CALCUTTA — The St. Clair Township Fraternal Order of Police 210 is again holding its annual Fill-A-Cruiser event from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday at Giant Eagle, state Route 170.

This is the fourth year township police officers have sponsored this event to collect food and monetary donations for the F.I.S.H. organization, which provides food to those in need during the holiday season.

Non-perishable food items will be collected as well as monetary donations, with Chief Brian McKenzie saying, “Each year it gets bigger. Last year was the largest collection yet in both food and money, and we appreciate it. People were very generous.”

Last year’s donations filled a box truck, and patrolmen are hoping this year, two trucks can be filled.
