‘Elf’ coming to the library

The Friends of the Leetonia Library will host a Christmas movie showing of “The Elf” at 1 p.m. Dec. 2 at the library. Pizza, popcorn and beverages will be provided. Santa will also visit to pass out candy and be available for photos. Cost is $5 per family. Reservations are required at the library or by calling Suzanne Tobuck at 330-427-6188.

Cookie sale in East Palestine

East Palestine Emmanuel United Methodist Church will hold the annual Holiday Cookie Sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 2 in the church basement. Cookies will be available for $4 per dozen.

Lisbon Lions Clearing House

The Lisbon Lions Club will be accepting applications for the Clearing House until Dec. 9. All applications must have a Lisbon address. To submit an application call Tom Kirkbride at 424-7955, Jim Shaffer at 330-206-9141 or Dick Crosser at 420-9141. Donations will also be accepted.

Sanctuary plans open house

Frisky Ferrets, Fuzzies and Feathered Friends Rescue and Sanctuary will hold a Hoppy Holiday open house from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 9 and 10 at the Old School Market Place, building E, North Lima. Visitors will be able to make toys and meet adoptable bunnies. There will be various items for sale including T-shirts, gifts and treats for small pets. On site adoptions are possbile with an apporoved application at orgsites.com/oh/F5RS.
