The basket contains over $1,300 worth of items including passes to Disney, Dollywood tickets, passes for Niagara Falls attractions and more. The basket will be up for silent auction bidding until Aug. 3 with the live auction starting after the 6 p.m. steer sale. Proceeds benefit all 4-Hers in Columbiana County.

SLP’s ‘Bee’ auditions are tonight

Stage Left Youth Players will audition “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” at 7 p.m. today at the Trinity Playhouse. An adult cast of five men and four women are being sought to play various roles for this PG-13 production. Come prepared to sing a short musical selection and dress comfortably to learn a simple dance combination. The Historical Society of Columbiana-Fairfield Township will have the ladies annual tea at 1 p.m. Aug. 7 at the First Presbyterian Church in Columbiana. Guest speaker Tracie Manning, curator of education from the Mahoning Valley Historical Society, will present “The Triumphs and Trials of Mary Todd Lincoln as First Lady.” For more information call 482-2983.

Palestine schedules to be ready

East Palestine High School students in grades 10, 11 and 12 may pick up schedules from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 8-11 in the high school guidance office.
