ODOT making plans for future
ODOT is accepting public comments on the Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP) that identifies the multi-modal transportation improvement projects that are scheduled throughout the state from 2018-2021. Draft documents will be available for public review and comment at 35 locations statewide March 27 through April 7 during normal business hours. Bereavement support offered
A new grief support group called the Empy Chair will begin at 6:30 p.m. April 6 at the Dawson Family Center in East Liverpool. Bereavement facilitator Judy Kidder of the Dawson Funeral Home will lead the eight-week program that is designed for those suffering the loss of a loved one. Anyone who might be interested can call the funeral home at 385-1010.
Open enrollment set at United
New students who reside outside the United Local district but wish to attend on open enrollment may pick up applications in the superintendent’s office beginning April 3. Hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Applications must be returned by July 28. Acceptance letters will be sent out no later than Aug. 1. Open enrolled students may have to provide their own transportation and high school students may be ineligible to participate in athletic competition for one year. For more information call 223-1521.
