Land bank gets official approval

LISBON – During a brief meeting Wednesday, Columbiana County commissioners formally approved a resolution approving an agreement with the new county land bank, which will be called the Columbiana County Land Reutilization Corporation.

The resolution states it authorizes the group to act as the county’s agency for reclamation, rehabilitation and reutilizatioin of vacant, abandoned, tax-foreclosed and other real property in the county. Federal demolition funding is available and the deadline to seek it is July 31.
