Sitting in a ’37 Stutz

Morning Journal/Patti Schaeffer

Nine-year-old Ashton Neal stretches to reach the pedals of the Columbiana Fire Department’s 1937 Stutz fire engine. It pumped 500 gallons per minute and was originally priced at $5,800. The Stutz was one of the many pieces of fire equipment on display during the department’s annual Safety Day.
