LISBON — A Nov. 26 preliminary hearing was set in Columbiana County Municipal Court for Kody N. Vinka, 26, Amsterdam, charged with violating a protection order for allegedly having Jami L. Vinka and her children in the vehicle he was driving on Friday when there is a protection order against him having contact with her or the children. A pretrial also was scheduled for Vinka, cited with driving under suspension.

Sara J. Kuhlman, 38, Pearl Street, Leetonia, was fined $725, had her license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 30 hours community service for OVI first offense and marked lanes.

A Nov. 26 pretrial was set for Joseph Thomas Moore, 22, Winona Road, Salem, charged with aggravated menacing for allegedly threatening to shoot Crystal Howe if she came onto her daughter’s property, then went to get a firearm leaving the home with it. Moore also allegedly threatened Cierra Howe on Sunday.

A Dec. 20 pretrial was set for Chase L. May, 33, state Route 9, Hanoverton, charged with domestic violence and assault for allegedly punching Victoria Doughty and Elizabeth Lowery in the mouths on Nov. 8.

Charges of domestic violence and criminal damaging against Brandon Michael Shaffer, 22, Metz Road, Columbiana, were dismissed due to the victim being unavailable.

Christian L. Gingher, 47, West Martin Street, East Palestine, was credited with four days served in jail, required 30 hours community service and fined $300 for assault and obstructing official business for fleeing from police on May 11. He was ordered to pay $203 in restitution to Lester Young, whom Gingher struck in the face leaving him unconscious and losing a lot of blood on July 7.

Brittany R. Demarco, 29, state Route 558, Leetonia, was fined $250, credited with a day in jail and ordered 30 hours community service for theft for failing to scan 21 items totaling $96 at Walmart in Salem.

Brandon James Roessler, 19, Oak Street, Leetonia, was fined $200 for failure to produce a license and failure to control.

Jeffrey D. Knoblock, 20, Coolidge Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $50 for persistent disorderly conduct amended from criminal damaging for smashing a window and kicking a storm door on July 21.

A Jan. 10 pretrial was set for David Reeger, 33, Church Street, Salineville, cited with driving under a 12-point suspension.

A Feb. 7 pretrial was set for Jeffrey Stuart Hetherington, 21, 14th Street, Wellsville, cited with two counts of driving under suspension and one count each of improper registration and a seat belt violation.

Carl L. Poynter, 55, Plymouth Place, Salem, was fined $190 for assured clear distance, criminal damaging and two counts of speeding. Poynter broke a sprinkler head at the jail on Aug. 16.

A Jan. 22 pretrial was set for David A. Young, 39, Crestview Road, Columbiana, cited with leaving the scene and failure to control.

Amy C. Watkins, was fined $100, credited with a day in jail and required 30 hours community service for persistent disorderly conduct.

Courtney Dawn Norris, 25, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and required 20 hours community service for driving under suspension.
