LISBON — The following action occurred Friday in Columbiana County Municipal Court:

A pretrial hearing date of Oct. 18 was scheduled in the case of Dale T. Polya, 24, of Girard, charged with OVI, failure to control and seatbelt violation. He was cited after going off the road and striking a utility pole while driving on Cunningham Road in Salem Township on Sept. 2.

Cedric E. Henderson, 34, of Youngstown, was fined $150 after being found guilty of marijuana possession. He was charged following a traffic stop on state Route 14 in Unity Township on Aug. 25.

Sarah E. Ewing, 18, Elm Street, Leetonia, was found guilty of allowing an unlicensed minor to operate a motor vehicle. Ewing was cited on Aug. 29 after Salem police responded to reports of someone doing doughnuts in the First Friends Church parking lot.

Georgette Kramp, 52, Fair Avenue, Salem, pleaded innocent to obstructing police business, and a pretrial hearing is scheduled for Sept. 10. When police showed up at her home on Thursday looking for a juvenile, Kramp told them she had not seen the boy, but the officers spotted the youth in the residence.

Sharlene K. Thomas, 40, John Street, Salineville, pleaded innocent to animal cruelty, and a pretrial hearing is schedule for Oct. 30. Thomas was charged Tuesday after police found a metal chain collar embedded in her dog’s neck, creating an open wound. The dog was removed by the county dog warden.

Joseph A. Long, 41, West Lincoln Way, Lisbon, pleaded innocent to assaulting Lee T. Knight in Lisbon on Tuesday, and a pretrial hearing is scheduled for Oct. 30.

Thomas L. Clutter, 49, Rose Drive, Lisbon, pleaded innocent to domestic violence, and a pretrial hearing is scheduled for Oct. 29. Clutter was charged Friday by Leetonia police after he reportedly pushed his wife and daughter during a domestic dispute and for destroying property in their home, including taking a knife to a mattress and dumping oil on the kitchen floor.

Linda Haefke, 57, South Main Street, Columbiana, was charged with OVI and resisting arrest, and a pretrial hearing is scheduled for Oct. 11. Haefke was cited for OVI following a traffic stop in Columbiana at 10:53 p.m. Thursday. While being arrested, she pulled away from the officer trying to handcuff her and had to be restrained by other offices to get the handcuffs on.

Nicholas Q. Figley, 25, North Liberty Street, East Palestine, was found guilt of reckless operation, which was reduced from OVI, and he was fined $250. Figley was ordered to attend driving intervention school and his license was suspended for six months. The charges resulted from a traffic stop in East Palestine on Jan. 22.

Matthew R. Brown, 20, of Youngstown, was fined $150 on a marijuana possession charge. He was found with marijuana following a traffic stop on state Route 14 in Unity Township on Aug. 25.

Courtney M. Bouchillon, 33, of Austintown, was fined $375 and her license was suspended for a year after being found guilty of OVI. She was also ordered to attend driver intervention school. This was from a traffic stop on state Route 14 in Unity Township on April 11. Bouchillon was also fined $150 and sentenced to nine days in the county jail after being found guilty of obstructing police business in Salem after she failed to abide by police commands to exit an apartment on July 17.

Dennis R. Porter, 27, Yates Road, Salem, was fined $975, his license suspended for one year and was granted credit for three days served in the county jail for OVI, driving under suspension and failure to control. The charges stem from an Aug. 10 accident in Knox Township.

Dustin D. Trybend, 18, New Garden Avenue, Salem, pleaded innocent to OVI, failure to control and leaving the scene of an accident, and a pretrial hearing is scheduled for Oct. 30. Trybend was cited following an accident on state Route 9 in Butler Township at 3:48 a.m. Sept. 2.

Jacob W. Gower, 18, of Salem, was fined $150 after being found guilty of possession drug paraphernalia. Gower was charged after being found with a marijuana grinder following a traffic stop in Salem on Monday.
