LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, an Oct. 25 pretrial was set for Michael B. Aten, 38, Lakewood, cited with OVI second offense, driving under suspension, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia and failure to control.

A Nov. 19 pretrial was set for William L. Murphy, 65, Main Street, Hanoverton, cited with OVI first offense, seat belt and turn signal violations.

A Sept. 6 pretrial was set for Ryan W. Bevington, 41, Pembrooke Drive, Salem, charged with theft by deception and obstructing official business. On May 2, Bevington allegedly refused to come to the door when police were outside with an arrest warrant. On Dec. 19, 2017, Bevington is accused of taking a package from a porch of Joseph Pahanish, which was a Christmas present.

A Sept. 6 sentencing hearing was set for Richard L. Howell, 36, East Third Street, Salem, who pleaded no contest to domestic violence for punching Jennifer L. Birchak in the eye on Monday. Another Sept. 6 sentencing hearing was also set for Birchak, who pleaded no contest to domestic violence for striking Howell in the face, giving him a fat lip.

A Sept. 10 pretrial was set for Scott A. Jackson, 44, Butcher Road, Salem, charged with two counts of violation of a protection order as well as assault and aggravated menacing for allegedly hitting his father about the head two or three times with his fists and threatening to assault his father or kill him if he went to a Leetonia football game on Friday to watch his granddaughter cheer. The protection order violations were for allegedly contacting his wife and his parents from the jail after he was ordered to have no contact with them.

An Oct. 15 pretrial was set for Laura C. Blake, 51, Jennings Avenue, Salem, charged with two counts of obstructing official business. One was for allegedly moving to the opposite side of the backseat of the patrol car so police could not reach her on Sunday. The other was for allegedly submitting paperwork to the court on Aug. 28 claiming to have done 22 hours of community service at the Salem Community Food Pantry, which was not confirmed as true.

An Oct. 9 pretrial was set for David Diaz Soliven, 29, Fair Avenue, Salem, cited with OVI first offense, marked lanes and possession of marijuana.

A Nov. 5 pretrial was set for Steven M. Colian, Ohio Avenue, Salem, charged with possession of a drug abuse instrument for allegedly having a needle, a rubber container with an unknown crystallized substance and a red spoon with a brown substance on it on Aug. 23.

An Oct. 9 pretrial was set for Jeremy A. Hanson, 39, Jones Drive, Salem, charged with resisting arrest, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct. On Friday, while investigating a large amount of smoke, Salem and Perry Township firefighters, along with Salem and Perry Township police reportedly found Hanson burning a large amount of green brush. He was reportedly found to have a knife in his pocket and ignored commands to keep his hands out of his pockets, instead pulling away from police.

Michael J. Spencer, 30, Haessley Road, Hanoverton, was fined $100, credited with eight days served in jail and required 10 hours community service for menacing for threatening Josh Knisely on Facebook on May 14.

A Sept. 11 pretrial was set for Connie R. Dattilio, 53, North Market Street, Lisbon, charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly being intoxicated on North Market Street in Lisbon on Saturday.

A Sept. 10 pretrial was set for Terry L. Adams Jr., 42, East Chestnut Street, Lisbon, charged with assault for allegedly hitting Trenton Holenchick under the chin on Monday.

An Oct. 25 pretrial was set for Rebecca L. Reynolds, 36, Chris Avenue, Washingtonville, cited with driving under suspension and a child restraint violation.

An Oct. 25 pretrial was set for Karen S. Tilley, 54, state Route 39, Salineville, cited with use of an unauthorized plate and improper registration.

A Nov. 15 pretrial was set for Logan Phillip Stewart, 23, Jefferson Avenue, Salem, cited with possession of marijuana and driving under suspension.

A Nov. 15 pretrial was set for Shane Burkart, 30, West Pershing Street, Salem, cited with driving under a forfeiture suspension.

An Oct. 25 pretrial was set for Shannon L. Engle, 31, Stoy Street, Leetonia, cited with driving under suspension.

A Sept. 13 pretrial was set for John A. Graham, 66, Petersburg-Unity Road, Petersburg, cited with domestic violence, use of an unauthorized plate and two counts of driving under a forfeiture suspension. The domestic violence charge alleges on Thursday Graham punched his ex, Karen Brightwell in the head three times as well as hitting her 15-year-old daughter.

An Oct. 2 pretrial was set for Savannah R. Fox, 18, Walnut Street, Leetonia, cited with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. She was ordered to pay costs only for unsafe vehicle.

Dewey J. Souers, 29, Maple Street, Lisbon, was fined $500, credited with 13 days in jail and required 50 hours community service for two counts of driving under suspension.

A Nov. 20 pretrial was set for Jessica C. Arter, 30, Howard Street, Columbiana, cited with driving under FRA suspension.

Jennifer N. Whaley, 37, Maplewood Drive, Columbiana, was fined $135 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension.

Tegan D.L. Vingle, 37, Aetna Street, Salem, was fined $150 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension and animals running at large.

Skylar John Morton, 22, Creek Road, New Waterford, was fined $150 and required 10 hours community service for driving under a forfeiture suspension and failure to control.

An Oct. 25 pretrial was set for Brandon James Roessler, 19, Oak Street, Leetonia, cited with failure to produce a license and failure to control.

Donald Edward Black, 47, Taylor Road, Negley, had his license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana.

Bryan Scott Feezle, 41, Walnut Street, Rogers, was fined $150 for drug paraphernalia for a metal pipe containing burnt residue.

Taylor Renee Wolfe, 22, Echo Dell Road, East Liverpool, had his license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana and unsafe vehicle.

Brandon Clayton, 25, Brooklyn, N.Y., was fined $150 and had his license suspended for 180 days for marijuana possession.

Alice L. Bivens, 41, Water Street, Salineville, was fined $100 for driving under FRA suspension amended from driving under suspension.

Nicole Marie Swagger, 32, Macklin Road, New Waterford, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.

Jasmine Ann Portis, 25, Wintersville, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.

Joseph R. Siebert, 38, Steubenville, was fined $100 for speeding.

A violation of a temporary protection order citation against Robert L. Kastanek, 34, North Madison Avenue, Salem, has been dismissed.
