Grand Jury

LISBON — A secret indictment was served to Lucas L. Sims, 33, Thompson Avenue, East Liverpool, who is charged with failure to register an address, which he is reportedly required to do after a January 2018 conviction for gross sexual imposition. At the time, Sims had been sentenced to 18 months in prison.

The new indictment claims Sims was ordered to register his address by June 21 and when he failed to do so, the indictment was issued by the grand jury.

Sims appeared before Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Washam on Friday afternoon. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety and defense attorney James Wise was appointed. Another hearing was set at 1 p.m. Monday.
