LISBON — Juwuan K. Howell, 19, Youngstown, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to burglary, a second-degree felony, which was a lesser included offense to his initial first-degree felony aggravated burglary charge. Howell is facing up to eight years in prison and a $15,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Sept. 24.

On Feb. 14, 2017, Howell broke the front door of a home while Amber Cox hid in the bathroom with the door closed and then he kicked in the bathroom door.

Luke A. Morris, 39, Dillworth Avenue, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of drugs for having cocaine on Jan. 13, 2017, and on March 9, 2018. He faces up to two years in prison, a five-year license suspension and a $5,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Sept. 24.

No bills of indictments were issued against defendants Anthony J. Antonas, 37, Latta Road, East Palestine, and James P. Poole, 38, East Third Street, Salem, when the grand jury met last week.

Antonas had been bound over on a domestic violence charge for allegedly assaulting his live-in girlfriend Cheyenne Cooper, on April 11.

Poole had also been bound over on a domestic violence charge for allegedly choking Tabitha Cloutier, throwing her into a wall and threatening to harm her further on May 12.

The previous bonds in the cases were released. Poole was ordered released from the county jail.
