LISBON — A May 29 preliminary hearing was set in county Municipal Court for Daniel Kernaich, 37, Sprucevale Road, East Liverpool, charged with felonious assault for allegedly striking James Silverman in the head with the butt of a BB gun on Dec. 21, 2017. He was fined $30 for improper registration.

A May 29 preliminary hearing was set for Chad Allen Love, 31, West Martin Street, East Palestine, charged with domestic violence for allegedly pulling Stacy Richardson out of her vehicle by her hair on May 7 and causing her foot to come off the brake, which in turn caused the vehicle to roll backward with the door open and catch Richardson underneath the door leaving her with a scrape in the middle of her back. After putting the vehicle into park, Love allegedly picked Richardson up by her clothes, pushed and kicked her to make her return to the home where her pre-teen son was hiding in the closet and calling 911.

Lisa Morris, 53, Sherwood Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $400, credited with a day served in jail and required 40 hours community service for two counts of disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence and assault. Morris on Dec. 22 tackled Julie Morris, her sister-in-law, and punched John Shields, her brother, in the face.

Dale C. Felger, 61, North Lima, was fined $250, credited with four days served in jail and gviven an additional 26 days for violating a temporary protection order. Felger was at a Taylor Road, Negley, home June 19, 2017, where he was previously ordered not to be.

A July 9 pretrial was set for Ethel M. Stanford, 54, state Route 170, Negley, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly lying to EMS and deputies at the home treating Alonna Adkins for several serious dog bite wounds. Stanford reportedly claimed Adkins had not suffered a drug overdose before she was attacked by a pitbull.

A June 25 pretrial was set for Helen E. Smith, 53, West South Range Road, Salem, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan $114 in merchandise at the Salem Walmart on April 29.

A June 25 pretrial was set for Jamie M. Pastore, 30, Union Street, Washingtonville, charged with assault and obstructing official business. Pastore allegedly slapped Mark Cassinger outside of Mike’s Penn Grille on Friday and then reportedly refused to comply with Salem police as they attempted to obtain fingerprints and process the charges.

A July 5 pretrial was set for Herbert C. Eckert, 73, Lake Street, North Georgetown, cited with disorderly conduct for allegedly insulting and taunting another person in an attempt to provoke a violent response on March 15.

A July 10 pretrial was set for Matthew S. Bell, 31, High Street, Washingtonville, charged with domestic violence for allegedly threatening to kill Jessica Arter, grabbing her around the neck with his left hand while squeezing and then shoving her into a bathroom wall on Friday.

A July 10 pretrial was set for Christian J. Perrin, 21, Ellwood City, Pa., cited with OVI first offense.

Scott A. Bratt, 35, Sprucevale Road, Rogers, was fined $250 and required 30 hours community service for driving under a license forfeiture suspension.

Jakob L. Hendricks, 28, Cherry Street, Washingtonville, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and fined $380 for driving under suspension, a turn signal violation and obstructing official business for giving New Waterford police a false name of Joseph Gregorino and a false date of birth on Sunday.

Donald Paul Cochran, 51, Sprucevale Road, Rogers, was fined $250 for a tail lights violation and disorderly conduct amended from obstructing official business for telling an East Palestine police officer he just met the female passenger in his vehicle who was giving police a false name on Feb. 18.

Jacob R. Fox, 19, West Clark Street, East Palestine, was fined $300 and required 30 hours community service for two counts of underage consumption.

Robert Aaron Risden, 27, Slater Road, Salem, was fined $150 for failure to reinstate a license.

Zackery D. Lough, 27, U.S. Route 62, Damascus, was sentenced to five days in jail, fined $300 and required 20 hours community service for resisting arrest and failure to disclose personal information. On Monday Lough refused to give his name to deputies and pulled away before he was tased multiple times to gain compliance.

Farah Lynn Leland, 42, North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 for driving under FRA suspension.

Mancy Craft V, 24, Youngstown, was fined $100 for possession of marijuana.

A July 12 pretrial was set for Matthew J. Jerome, 32, East Main Street, East Palestine, cited with possession of marijuana, driving under a forfeiture suspension, traffic control devices, improper registration, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct, with the last two charges for allegedly walking around East Palestine intoxicated and having a crack pipe on Sept. 9, 2017.

A charge for failing to appear on a subpoena against Julie Morris, Yeager Road, East Liverpool, was dismissed.
