LISBON — A village man accused of attacking another man with a military-style knife pleaded guilty as charged during action this week in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.

Christopher A. Brown, 41, of West Spruce Street, is scheduled to be sentenced on April 19 after pleading guilty to felonious assault. Brown is accused of attacking Eric Mellinger with the knife at Brown’s home on Dec. 5, 2016, with Mellinger sustaining neck wounds.

In other court action, Thomas W. Davis, 34, Lincoln Avenue, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty as charged to failure to register as a sex offender. Davis was required to register with the county sheriff because of a 2007 conviction for engaging in unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, but he failed to register last May/June. He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 20.

James C. Schwendeman, 33, Jefferson Avenue, Salem, pleaded guilty as charged to felony OVI and misdemeanor driving under suspension, and he is scheduled to be sentenced on April 20. The charge is a felony because he has four other OVI convictions
