EAST LIVERPOOL — The man charged in the shooting of a Woodland Hills woman Sunday appeared Tuesday from county jail for a video arraignment before East Liverpool Municipal Court Judge Melissa Byers Emmerling.

Deandre M. Dozier, 27, W. Seventh Street, pleaded not guilty to felonious assault, and a preliminary hearing was set Nov. 30, with $500,000 cash/surety bond set.

Dozier was also ordered not to own or possess firearms or ammunition and to have no contact with alleged victim Christen Wilson, who was shot in the head at her apartment.

In other matters, Aaron M. Widler, 23, Shadyside Drive, was fined $75 for driving under suspension; expired plates charge dismissed.

A criminal trespass charge against Robert Howard, 90, Sophia Street, was amended to disorderly conduct, for which he was fined $100.

An assured clear distance charge was dismissed against David J. Locke, 45, Moore Street.

Mark R. McGrogan, 25, Westfield Road, was fined $30 for expired plates.

A charge of no operator’s license was dismissed against DaNeil U. Prentice, 25, Wedgewood Street.

Pretrials were set for Jon-athan R. Cornell, 41, Chester, W.Va., charged with possess-ion of drug abuse instruments; Amanda L. DeFrancesco, 27, Aliquippa, Pa., domestic violence, Dec. 14; and Charles M. Butler, 43, Youngstown, disregard for safety, Jan. 3.
