EAST LIVERPOOL — In Municipal Court Wednesday, Robert A. Ford, 30, Harker Avenue, was fined $250, sentenced to 180 days, 90 suspended, and placed on probation three years for domestic violence. The victim was still in the emergency room, but her stepmother was in the courtroom. Children’s Services was contacted by the police department.
Jacqueline Myers, 54, Lisbon Street, was fined $350 and sentenced to five days for OVI. For assured clear distance, she was fined $100.
Laura B. Beaver, 18, Wilbert Avenue, was fined $500 for offenses involving underage persons.
Brenda M. Smith, 56, North Shady Lane, was fined $500 for offenses involving underage persons.
A defense motion was heard in the case against Michael E. Hallam, 20, Hookstown, Pa., with domestic violence and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. The court granted the motion to separate the two charges so they are not tried in the same jury trial. The date of one will remain the same, while the other will be continued.
Larry R. Malekovic, 69, Youngstown, was fined $250, sentenced to 30 days, suspended, had his license suspended 180 days and was placed on probation two years for OVI.
Heather L. Cooper-Hanlon, 27, Hookstown, Pa., was fined $200, sentenced to 90 days, 87 suspended, had her license suspended 180 days and was placed on probation two years for possession of drugs. For possession of drug paraphernalia, she was fined $100 and had her license suspended 180 days. She was fined $100 and had her license suspended 180 days for possession of marijuana.
Second pretrial was scheduled Oct. 11 for Steven M. Howard, 51, Wyoming Avenue, charged with aggravated menacing.
An illegal plates charge was dismissed against Angel Redman, 36, Sprucevale Road.
Pretrial was scheduled Oct. 5 for John N. Thompson Jr., 28, Maryland Avenue, charged with theft, third offense, and criminal trespass. He was ordered to have no contact with Giant Eagle.
