Golden year for Leetonia couple

LEETONIA – Ronald and Loretta Kyser, Leetonia, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with picnic at the home of their daughter and son-in-law. The picnic, attended by family and friends, was hosted by their children Laurel (Michael) Sobota, Greenford; Paul (Laurie) Kyser, Parma Heights; and three grandchildren. The couple is also planning a trip to the Smokey Mountains in October.

The former Loretta Foertch, daughter of the late Wilder and Kathryn Foertch, married Ronald Kyser, son of the late John and Helen Kyser, on July 14, 1963 at the Columbiana United Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert Reed conducted the ceremony.

Mr. Kyser worked at NRM Corp for 33 years and is a volunteer at the Big Reach Center of Hope.

Mrs. Kyser was a business teacher at Columbiana High School for 35 years. She has also worked for Avon for 32 years and H&R Block for 22 years.

They are members of Greenford Christian Church and the 61st Ohio Volunteer Civil War Re-enactment Unit.
